DINING: Fanny's Ice Cream, HCMC, Vietnam

Not really a big ice cream eater but I’m not one to say no to anything remotely cooler than the hot
sunny weather that day in Saigon, hell, would have even settled for a Halls Menthol Candy.

Fanny's ice creams and sorbets on the other hand is quite a special treat that ducking in to this cozy parlor along Ton That Thiep Street proved to be a pleasant surprise. We even had to come back before flying out.

Deciding on what to order was overwhelming. I’ve never seen so much ice cream flavors my whole life
and each of them came in vibrant and delicious colors. The presentation was ingenious and fun and just to stare at them interestingly quite makes you happy. In fact, even the ginger flavored ice cream was tempting. You can also order by the scoop.

TRICYLE 49,000 VND
(strawberry sorbet, coconut ice cream, fresh strawberries, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream)

CANARD 49,00 VND
(strawberry sorbet, coconut ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream)

CYCLO 68,000 VND
(mango, strawberry sorbet, coconut ice cream with rum flavored raisins and whipped cream)

HOW TO GET THERE: The pink and browns ice cream parlor is located at  #29 Ton That Thiep Street near Nguyen Hue Street. It can also be found at Vincom Center, Pham Hong Thai, and Xuan Thuy. It's better to write down the address or have it encircled on a map to show your cab driver as their regional accents are quite strong and foreigners' enunciation can prove to be a challenge.
